toptoon.fr is a news site about anime and manga. It can be read without an account or sign-up and collects as little data as possible. This page says what is processed, why, and what your rights are.

Data processed

• Server logs: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser used. They serve the security of the site, abuse detection and fault diagnosis.
• Session cookie: one strictly necessary cookie, which remembers the chosen language and protects the site's forms. It expires at the end of the session.
• Data you send us: for example your email address when you write to us, or information given to use a feature of the site. It serves only the purpose you gave it for.

toptoon.fr never asks for a password and creates no account for you.

Legal basis and purposes

Processing rests on TopToon's legitimate interest in running a safe and available site, and on carrying out what you ask when you write to us or use a feature of the site.

Third-party content and pictures

The news shown comes from public feeds of third-party publishers. Article thumbnails are loaded straight from the publisher's site (Anime News Network, MyAnimeList, Anime Corner, Adala News): as with any web image, that publisher then sees your IP address. toptoon.fr passes it nothing else. When you open an article you leave toptoon.fr and the publisher's privacy policy applies.

Cookies and analytics

No analytics, advertising or social network cookies. No script or font is loaded from another domain. No data is sold or shared for advertising.

Retention

Technical logs are kept for 12 months at most. Messages you send us are kept for the time needed to handle your request, then 12 months at most. Other data is kept for as long as its purpose and the applicable legal obligations require.

Recipients

Data stays with TopToon and its hosting provider, which acts on instruction. It is passed to no one else, unless the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data. Write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

Changes

This policy may change with the site. The date at the top of the page states the version in force.
